McGrath takes charge at MRF academy

Chennai, Jan 26: Former Australian paceman Glenn McGrath began a new innings here as the director of MRF Pace Foundation.

McGrath was seen interacting with youngsters at the Foundation on Friday. He has replaced another Australian pace legend Dennis Lillee.

The right-arm paceman, known for his accurate bowling, retired from international cricket in 2007.

McGrath took 563 wickets in 124 Tests. In his 250 One Day Internationals, he finished with 381 scalps.

Several bowlers from the Pace Foundation have represented India at Test and ODI level. McGrath is expected to continue the good work of Lillee.
