In the absence of Ravindra Jadeja and Cheteshwar Pujara, Saurashtra struggled to play their normal game after reaching Ranji Trophy final for the first time as they lost to Mumbai by an innings and 125 runs in the Ranji Trophy final.

With SH Kotak (0), SD Jogiyani (0), RR Dave (5), AV Vasavada (0), JN Shah (6), SP Jackson (9), KR Makwana (7), SM Sanandia (16) being dismissed cheaply, Saurashtra slumped to 58/8 after 27 overs at Tea on Day three of the final.
