Dhoni is also in the Srinivasan-owned India Cements squad and is all set to play in BCCI Corporate Cricket Tournament. The Jharkhand wicketkeeper-batsman skipped Irani Cup but was named in India Cements squad.
It is a known fact that Srinivasan and Dhoni enjoy a good relationship. There were reports in the recent past that the BCCI President stepped in when the selectors wanted to remove Dhoni from Test captaincy.
The latest episode in their friendship is making Dhoni the Vice President.
A report in "Pune Mirror" newspaper claimed on Wednesday (January 30) that Dhoni is Vice President, the same position which former India captain Rahul Dravid holds in the company.
Srinivasan is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of India Cements (stock quote). The company owns Chennai Super Kings, which is again captained by Dhoni.
Dhoni was previously with Air India but has resigned now. An India Cements team official was quoted in "Pune Mirror" as saying that Dhoni might lead the team in the Raj Singh Dungarpur Corporate Trophy, which is a 50-over tournament.
