MS Dhoni, having made his debut in 2004 has represented India in 73 Tests, 219 Tests and 42 T20 Internationals. Dhoni, who was passionate about football started focusing on cricket after his schooling.
He was also selected for the district and club level in Badminton and Football during his school days. Irrespective of his experience in cricket, he impressed everyone during his stint at the Commando cricket club.

Dhoni while interacting with experts at a panel discussion moderated by commentator Harsha Bhogle, said "I never thought I will play for India. I am never worried if I am not selected for a particular game or series but my focus will be on contributing for the next match."
During a promotional event organised by Boost, a health drink brand Dhoni said coming from a small town made him a tough cricketer.
"Comparatively, Ranchi has (more) senior players. Of course it's a bit tough to come from a small city but that makes you tougher with the challenges it poses," he said at the discussion, held as part of a promotional event by health drink brand Boost.
