Kolkata, Jan 31: India's Manoj Tiwary keen on cementing his berth in the national team says he would like to prove his worth whenever he gets an opportunity to play for the country, after he was forced to miss the ODI series last month due to an injury.
After rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, Manoj Tiwary is looking forward for his comeback as he is playing for Rest of India in the Irani Cup that starts on February 6, 2013.
"I am trying my level best and want to prove a point by playing good cricket. I am doing well in local matches and is fully fit and raring to go," Tiwary told reporters here today.
The Bengal batsman who picked up an injury during the Ranji Trophy tie against Saurashtra in Rajkot last month said the timing of the injury hurt him a lot as he missed the ODI series against England. Injury forced Manoj Tiwary to stay off action.
"The timing of the injury was very bad but just hope that I do well again," Manoj Tiwary told reporters in Kolkata.
