Clarke ruled out of 5th ODI against WI

Sydney, Feb 9: Australia's Michael Clarke has been ruled out of the fifth and final ODI against West Indies at Melbourne on Sunday due to a hamstring injury.

The news from the team management confirmed that Michael Clarke having complained of recurrence of hamstring trouble that he has sustained throughout the Australian summer was assessed on Friday.

After the fourth ODI on Friday, the team's physiotherapist confirmed that Clarke had hamstring stiffness and as a precautionary measure he would not be travelling to Melbourne for the fifth ODI.

Though he complained of some stiffness, as planned Michael Clarke will be leaving for Chennai for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar trophy on Feb 12, 2013.

Australia having won the ODI series 4-0, would look forward to win the fifth ODI at Melbourne and wrap the series under the captaincy of Shane Watson. In the absence of Michael Clarke, Shane Watson would lead the team at MCG while Shaun Marsh has been added to the squad.
