Starc to arrive early to prepare for India Tests

Sydney, Feb 9: Australia's fast bowler Mitchell Starc will be flying to India earlier than expected according to Cricket Australia.

The fast bolwer who was rested for the fourth ODI against West Indies is expected to fly to India on Saturday to get accustomed to the conditions there ahead of the four-match Test series.

Australia are playing two warm-up games against Board President's XI (Feb 11) and India A (Feb 16) ahead of the first Test at Chennai on Feb 22.

While Cricket Australia also confirmed that Matt Wade and Glenn Maxwell will be travelling to India on Saturday, it also named Brad Haddin as Wade's replacement for the fifth ODI against West Indies on Sunday.

With Michael Clarke expected to arrive on Tuesday, the second batch of Aussie cricketers will arrive in Chennai this weekend.

Mitchell Starc, who has had a very good series against West Indies with 11 wickets off 3 matches, would look forward to extend his good form against India in the Test series.
