New Delhi, Feb 11: India's Gautam Gambhir, following his exclusion from the Test squad for the Australia series, the Delhi batsman has urged his fans and wellwishers not to sympathize rather he would fight back to earn his Test berth.
Selectors picked Shikhar Dhawan ahead of Gautam Gambhir since the former had piled up 833 runs in the domestic season as Gambhir had recorded 0,23,40, 30, 9 and 25 in his last 6 Test innings.
"No sympathies plz," the Delhi opener tweeted after being dropped from the Test squad for the upcoming series against Australia.
Though he has been dropped from the Test squad, he will be leading India A in the second warm-up game against Australia in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan.
"Lookin forward to training n then d india a game. Chin up guys, its time to show some steel. Come on," he further wrote on his twitter handle @5gautamgambhir.
Gambhir who has been dropped a couple of times from the Test squad, tweeted "had my bak to d wall in d past 2, dis is no difrent. Will fight."
On Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan being picked for the first two Tests against Australia, the Delhi batsman congratulated them as he tweeted "Very hapy 4 vijay n shikhar," on his micro-blogging site, Twitter.
Though he was disappointed for being dropped, Gambhir stressed on that he would like to see Team India emerge victorious at the end of the Test series.
"Want India to win @ all costs, wid or widou me," Gambhir tweeted.
