One gesture that Joe Dawes spotted during a practice session was that Indian cricketers imitated the way Tendulkar carried his bat to the team bus.
Dawes amused by Sachin Tendulkar's eye for perfection at 39, said that the legendary cricketer's passion and focus remains the same during the practice sessions despite completing 23 years of international cricket.
"Sachin has started carrying his bat with him on the team bus and then all the other batters started bringing their bats on the bus, just to copy him," Dawes told The Courier-Mail.
"It has got to the point where I am poking fun at all of them. I tell the tailend batsmen they are never going to survive as international batsmen unless they bring their bat on the bus," Dawes was quoted as saying by Courier-Mail.
Sachin Tendulkar, fondly called as paaji has been admired by many for his patience, temperament, passion for the game and more than anything else, for being a team man.
Dawes also added that Sachin Tendulkar's presence in the dressing room will boost the cricketers' spirits as he motivates the youngsters to deliver.
Having played cricket for 23 years, Sachin Tendulkar has been a role model for many as most of the current generation cricketers have grown up watching the master blaster play.
Talking about Sachin Tendulkar and the upcoming series against Australia, Dawes added that the legendary cricketer would be under pressure to perform especailly after a dismal outing against Aussies during the 4-0 drubbing in 2011-12, and praised the veteran cricketer for not decreasing his work ethic.
