According to reports, Michael Clarke, Shane Watson and other big players haven't arrived yet, as Wade is looking forward to lead the side in the first warm-up match.
Since Australia were busy till Feb 10, with the ODI series against West Indies, they are expected to arrive on Tuesday.
The inexperienced Matthew Wade on Monday added that he had led Victoria in a Shield game and had no experience of leading the side in any other tournament.
"The bigger guns aren't here as yet so we've only got 11 to pick from tomorrow," Wade was quoted as saying by The Age.

"It will be nice to get out there and play a game of cricket and especially to captain. It will be something different and I'm looking forward to it," Wade was quoted as saying.
Talking about the team's first warm-up match, Wade said he had plans of playing his pacers Peter Siddle, James Pattinson and Jackson Bird while Nathan Lyon, the specialist spinner would also like to play a vital role in the tour game.
"I'd suggest Glenn Maxwell, Nathan Lyon and Steve Smith will bowl plenty of overs in the next few trial games," Wade said.
Australia playing four Test matches against India will also be playing two warm-up matches against Board President's XI and India A.
The first warm-up match against Board President's XI will be played at Guru Nanak College Ground on Tuesday.
