Mumbai, Feb 14: India's left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha has revealed that he received the success mantra from the legendary leg-spinner Anil Kumble during his stay at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore recently.
Pragyan Ojha, the most successful bowler against England during the home series will have a huge role to play against Australia in the upcoming Test series.
Ojha, who has been advised to be more innovative to get some assistance from Indian pitches by Mohammad Azharuddin also got a few tips from Jumbo recently.
Practising ahead of the Test series, Pragyan Ojha who was at NCA in Bangalore for training has met Anil Kumble and discussed about how to improve his skills, but the recent visit proved to be extra special, as he received Jumbo's success mantra.
Ojha, during an interview to DNA, said that he has been working on Kumble's tips ahead of the most important series against Australia.
"I am just trying to be fitter and stronger. I've been speaking to Anil bhai (Anil Kumble). He said the only thing I must work on is to get fitter and stronger. He told me I've to be so fit that the way I bowl in the first hour of a series should be no different to my spell in the last session of the final Test. I'm working hard to get my bowling fitness and become stronger as it would help me in the upcoming games and in the long run as well," Ojha was quoted as saying by DNA.
"He tells me I'll bowl better once I start following a fitness regime and work really hard. He maintains that one's enthusiasm should be the same towards close of play as at the start," Ojha told DNA during an interview.
