Mumbai, Feb 15: Mumbai's school boy Armaan Jaffer, nephew of Mumbai's star cricketer Wasim Jaffer on Thursday broke the record for the highest individual score in U-16 Harris Shield Tournament after scoring a fabulous 473.
Playing for Rizvi Springfield school, Armaan posted his highest individual score against IES VN Sule Guruji in the final of the Harris Shield Tournament.
The 15-year-old's knock of 473 included 65 boundaries and 16 sixes during the 359-ball knock. The teenager's innings lasted 437 minutes.
With a score of 473 in the final, the teenager's batting approach has been compared to Wasim Jaffer, as the 15-year-old also has the same temperament. Though his innings included 16 sixes, the teenager should a lot of grit during his 359-ball knock.
Having scored 263 in the semifinals, Armaan helped his side recover from 30/6 against Anjuman and continued to play a vital role for his team with his classy 473 in the final.
