Porvorim (Goa), Feb 18: Paceman S Sreesanth took four wickets to power Kerala to six-wicket victory over Andhra in the KS Subbaiah Pillai Trophy South Zone 50-over tournament here on Sunday (February 17).
The right-arm paceman, who is back to full fitness after missing action due to injury and eyeing a comeback into the Indian team, bowled 12 overs for his state team.
With Sreesanth's 4/61 efforts, Kerala kept Andhra to 256/6 in 50 overs. In reply, they chased the target losing four wickets in 46.2 overs. Robert Fernandez was the top scorer with 85 not out.
In Vasco, Manish Pandey and Karun Nair hit half centuries to guide Karnataka to seven-wicket triumph against Tamil Nadu. Pandey made 81 not out while Nair was unbeaten on 61 in chase of 251.
In Margao, hosts Goa slumped to third straight defeat as they were defeated by Hyderabad. Ravi Teja hit a fine century (111 not out) for Hyderabad.
The top two teams qualify for all-India Vijay Hazare Trophy.
