Chennai, Feb 19: Indian players arrived here in Chennai on Tuesday for the first Test against Australia, which starts at MA Chidambaram Stadium on February 22.
The MS Dhoni-led side had a three-day preparatory camp in Bangalore and landed in the city from there. All 15 players focused on batting, bowling and fielding skills at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
Offspinner R Ashwin, who is gearing up to play his first Test in front of his home crowd, said he was looking forward to the series.
"Back in Chennai. First home test :-)," he tweeted (@ashwinravi99).
The Indian team is expected to resume training on Wednesday. Australians are already been in Chennai had have played two practice games.
