Bangalore, Feb 19: The suspense is over. India opener Virender Sehwag will wear spectacles while batting in the Australia Test series which starts in Chennai on February 22.
Sehwag, who was seen with glasses during India's three-day camp at M Chinnaswamy Stadium here, will continue to use the eye gear during the matches too. It is learnt that he is using glasses due to headache and was advised by a doctor to wear corrective glasses.
According to a report in "MiD DAY", Sehwag will bat in Chennai Test with glasses on. A source confirmed this to the newspaper.
"Sehwag will bat with his spectacles. He is getting used to them in the camp and is following his doctor's advice. Later on, he may go in for contact lenses just like Sourav Ganguly did," said a source to the newspaper on Monday (February 18).
Team India will leave for Chennai from Bangalore on Tuesday.
