Moises Henriques to make Test debut

Chennai, Feb 20: Australia all-rounder Moises Henriques will make his Test debut against India in the first Test starting here on February 22 while opener David Warner is also named in the Playing XI.

Henriques has won the battle of all-rounders with Glenn Maxwell. Warner, who had a finger injury, is also picked.

"I lost a little bit of sleep last night just thinking about it," Henriques was quoted as saying in the "Sydney Morning Herald" newspaper on Wednesday.

"Hopefully the next two nights are a bit calmer but I can't imagine they would be.his It wasn't really in my list of goals at the start of this Shield season but things have sped up the process and I can't say how much I'm looking forward to the opportunity," the 26-year-old Portuguese-born right-hander added.

Henriques impressed in warm-up games in Chennai. Australia have picked four fast bowlers in Peter Siddle, James Pattinson, Mitchell Starc and Henriques. Nathan Lyon in the lone spinner.

Australia XI for first Test: Ed Cowan, David Warner, Phil Hughes, Shane Watson, Michael Clarke (captain), Matthew Wade (wicketkeeper), Moises Henriques, James Pattinson, Mitchell Starc, Peter Siddle, Nathan Lyon. 12th man: Glenn Maxwell.
