Chennai, Feb 20: Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is aiming to take India batsman and his Mumbai Indians team-mate Sachin Tendulkar's wicket few times in the four-match Test series which starts here on February 22.
Maxwell, who was bought by Mumbai Indians for $1 million in IPL player auction this year, is looking forward to sharing the dressing room with Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting during the sixth edition of IPL (IPL 6). Ponting was picked by Mumbai franchise for $400,000.
"I'm really looking forward to being a part of the side (Mumbai Indians). It would be nice to bowl to Sachin (Tendulkar) during the Tests and get him a few times. I would have some bragging rights when I get to play with him. I was lucky enough to bowl to him a few years ago when I was playing for the Chairman's XI. It was an amazing experience. He took me to the cleaners that time, so hopefully I get one back this time as I've improved a lot," Maxwell was quoted as saying by "The Times of India" newspaper on Wednesday.
Maxwell is expected to make his Test debut during the seires. So far he has played for Australia in 50-over format and Twenty20s.
