Chennai, Feb 25: Australia's Matthew Wade on Sunday confirmed that there was no spat with India's Harbhajan Singh after the two cricketers were seen exchanging words following a leg before appeal that was turned down by the umpire on the third day of the first Test at Chennai.
During the 106th over of the innings on Day three of the first Test, Harbhajan Singh's appeal was rejectedby the umpire which was also the first delivery off Harbhajan faced by Wade. Following umpire's call, the two cricketers exchanged a few words.
Wade, told Telegraph on Sunday after the day's play at Chennai clarified that there was no spat with the off-spinner.
"There was no row," Wade was quoted as saying by The Telegraph.
"I think he got hit on the pads and he said he was outside the line. He said that there was nothing much and we moved on. There was definitely no spat or anything like that. It was purely a cricketing matter..." Wade was quoted as saying.
