Brett Lee to be KKR's bowling mentor

New Delhi, Mar 4: Australia's Brett Lee has replaced Wasim Akram as the bowling mentor for Kolkata Knight Riders for the sixth edition of Indian Premier League which starting April 3, 2013.

Having been associated with Kolkata Knight Riders since 2011, Brett Lee has been given an additional responsibility to play the role of a bowling mentor during the sixth edition of the lucrative league after Wasim Akram cited family reasons to end his contract with Kolkata Knight Riders.

IPL's official twitter page made it clear as it announced Kolkata Knight Riders' star Brett Lee, who has been asked to shoulder the responsibility of mentoring bowlers.

"Media Alert: @KKRiders give additional responsibility to @BrettLee_58 . The fast bowler will also be the KKR bowling mentor for #IPL 2013," tweeted ‏@IPL

In reply to the same, the speedster thanked his franchise for giving him an opportunity to utilise his mentoring skills as he tweeted on his micro-blogging site, Twitter.

"@IPL @kkriders very pleased to say that along with my playing duties for KKR, I will also be the Bowling Mentor this season. Very excited," tweeted @BrettLee_58

Team India's fielding coach, Trevor Penny will be the fielding coach for Kolkata Knight Riders during the sixth edition of IPL.
