I am not retiring, says Virender Sehwag

New Delhi, Mar 7: Reacting to the news of his omission from the Indian Test team, Virender Sehwag has said he has no plans to retire from the game and feels he can make a comeback.

Selectors, on Thursday, dropped Sehwag for the last two Tests against Australia. In January this year, the opener was axed from the ODI squad as well.

"I have no plans to retire now. I will try to make a comeback," Sehwag was quoted as saying by NDTV English news channel.

Later, on his twitter page (@virendersehwag), he wrote "I'll be back."

"Will continue to work hard for my place in the team. I trust my game and am confident that, "I'll be back." 'Best wishes to the team," Sehwag wrote on the micro blogging site.

The 34-year-old has struggled to score runs. In the three innings of the ongoing Test series, he had just 27 runs to his name. In the last 9 Test innings, he has managed only 163 runs.
