BCCI president upset with DDCA

Bangalore, Mar 11: BCCI president N Srinivasan is not happy with Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) for skipping the Ranji Trophy Coaches and Captains Conclave held in Mumbai on March 5.

The conclave was attended by all teams barring Delhi which resulted in the BCCI president shooting off a letter to DDCA president Arun Jaitley, a reprot in "Mail Today" newspaper said on Monday.

"How you people think it's (DDCA missing the meeting) interesting? Of course, I was present. It's the most important meeting," Srinivasan told the newspaper.

What was upsetting BCCI was none of the Delhi representatives made it to the conclave. The conclave discusses various issues related to domestic game and suggestions are welcomed from all teams.

After writing a letter to the DDCA, Srinivasan sent a text message as well to Jaitley.

According to the report, the reason given by DDCA for not making the Conclave are "from bizarre to hilarious".

Some of the reasons are, the team being in "celebratory mood" after winning the Vijay Hazare Trophy, players wanting to be with their families, not enough time to reach Mumbai from Visakhapatnam (venue of Vijay Hazare Trophy). Another excuse was "communication gap."
