Mohali, Mar 13: Team India's preparations for the third Test against Australia suffered a huge blow when in-form batsman Cheteshwar Pujara was injured during practice at the PCA Stadium here on Tuesday (March 12).
Pujara was hit on the left knee by a local bowler during batting practice. He was soon off the ground and the knee was strapped with an ice-pack.
The right-hander did not take part in training after the injury. It will be a big setback if Pujara fails to recover in time for tomorrow's third Test. India re leading 2-0.
Pujara had undergone surgeries on both knees previously. He was in great form in the second Test in Hyderabad where he scored a double hundred.
