New Delhi, Mar 25: BCCI President N Srinivasan feels it is "unfair" to make assessment on "India's greatest cricketer" Sachin Tendulkar since he is "different" than other players.
Another ordinary Test series for Tendulkar has resulted in speculation over his future as India player. But BCCI Chief refused to comment on the Master Blaster's performance in the four-match series against Australia which India won 4-0. Tendulkar scored only one half century in the series.
"He (Sachin Tendulkar) is different. Any assessment on India's greatest cricketer will be unfair (at this stage)," Srinivasan told "NDTV" on Monday. Tendulkar is without a Test century since January 2011.
When asked about the team completing a 4-0 whitewash, Srinivasan said: "The team was unlucky at times and also undergoing a transition. Against Australia, the team has regrouped and we should be proud of them. No team wants to lose and our players have tried their best. Sometimes, the circumstances are not in your favour."
