Test rankings: India third, SA on top

Bangalore, Mar 26: India have finished third in the ICC Test rankings on the April 1 cut-off date while South Africa have retained their top position with England taking the number two spot.

After the conclusion of the New Zealand-England Test series on Tuesday, ICC announced the latest team rankings and India are third despite winning 4-0 against Australia.

South Africa will receive the Test mace and $450,000 for finishing first on the Test table, England will get $350,000 and India $250,000. Australia will receive $150,000.

New Zealand and England played out a thrilling draw in the third and final Test on Tuesday and that put paid to India's chances of becoming number two. All three Tests had ended in draws in New Zealand.
