Brian Lara to help Raina during IPL

Bangalore, Apr 1: Former West Indies captain and batting legend Brian Lara has offered to help India batsman Suresh Raina in his bid to get back to the Test team.

Lara, who said will be visiting India during the course of the sixth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 6) which starts on April 3, is expected to pass on some useful batting tips to the Indian left-hander. Lara wants to see Raina in India Test team for South Africa.

On Monday, both left-handers exchanged messages on the micro blogging site Twitter where Lara said he wanted to see Raina in the Test team soon.

"@ImRaina wen i see u we will have a chat could help with a few things bro want to see u at ur best all forms of the game," Lara (@BrianLara) wrote on his Twitter page. To this, Raina replied: "@BrianLara yes will do.. Thank u."

"@ImRaina If we meet up we can work on a few things... Want u in SA scoring TEST runs. It's not hard at all. Plenty of it is mental strength," Lara added.

"@ImRaina i want to see u playing some more test cricket and i know u have what it takes to make it big in that arena...," Lara wrote in his earlier tweet.

Responding to the legend, Raina said: "@BrianLara yes I want to play test cricket so badly been working hard since I dropped from the team.. Hope fully I will make it soon.."

Raina is currently in Chennai training for IPL 6.
