Bangalore, Apr 1: Virender Sehwag might be struggling to score runs at the international level but he is still on top of the IPL list when it comes to highest strike rates for batsmen in the history of this Twenty20 league.
Delhi Daredevils' Sehwag, who has been out of the Indian team now, will be hoping to maintain the same strike rate in IPL 6 and win back his place in Team India.
It is no surprise that the second slot in the list is occupied by Royal Challengers Bangalore's Chris Gayle. But it is indeed a surprise to see Mumbai Indians' Harbhajan Singh's name at number three.
Sehwag has a strike rate of 167.31 while Gayle has 161.79. Harbhajan's is 151.40. Sehwag has so far scored 1,879 runs off 1,123 balls from 66 innings. Gayle has amassed 1,804 off 1,115 deliveries from 42 innings with 129 sixes. Sehwag has hit 79 sixes.
IPL 6 gets under way on April 4 with Delhi facing defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders.
