Pune, Apr 17: Amit Mishra took a hat-trick to bowl Sunrisers Hyderabad to a stunning 11-run victory over Pune Warriors in Match 22 of IPL 2013 here on Wednesday. It was a low-scoring game and from the jaws of defeat, Sunrisers snatched victory thanks to Mishra.
Pune needed 14 to win off 12 balls with four wickets in hand. Mishra came onto bowl and turned the match in the space of six balls. First, he dismissed Angelo Mathews on the second ball. After a single off the third ball from Manish Pandey, Mishra trapped Bhuvneshwar Kumar LBW and bowled Rahul Sharma and Ashok Dinda for a hat-trick and that signalled the end of the match. Pune failed to chase a small target of 120. Pune have themselves to blame for playing reckless shots including the captain Mathews.
Earlier, Bhuvneshwar's 3/18 helped Pune Warriors restrict Sunrisers Hyderabad to 119/8 in 20 overs. At one stage, Sunrisers were tottering at 44/6 in 10.4 overs. However, Biplab Samantray, Amit Mishra and Ashish Reddy fought back to take the team past 100.
