RCB 'lacked common sense', says Kohli

Bangalore, Apr 17: Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli rued his team's "lack of common sense" in their Super Over victory over Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2013 on Tuesday night (April 16).

RCB were cruising towards a win when Kohli and AB de Villiers were batting. But the wicket of De Villiers triggered panic among the rest of the RCB batsmen and were on the verge of losing from a winning position.

Thanks to Ravi Rampaul's six in the last over, RCB tied the game and later prevailed in the Super Over at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

"Certainly we played some good consistent cricket. But to be honest today, I can be really happy with the way we won the Super Over but we didn't deserve to be in that position," Kohli said after the match.

Kohli added, "I mean I could have gone through the 18th over and would have got the right results that we wanted to have. But that's the excitement that T20 cricket brings! Its just like a see-saw. When I got out, I got really annoyed because I was the set batsman and wasn't getting enough strike and that's why I said we lack common sense."

On the last-ball defeat to Chennai Super Kings in previous game, Kohli said: "A dearth of common sense cost the last match. I think we were 10-15 runs short. It is we who did not have common sense in death overs."
