Mohali, Apr 21: South African left-hander David Miller hit two sixes in the final over to seal a thrilling seven-wicket victory for Kings XI Punjab against Pune Warriors in Match 29 of IPL 2013 here on Sunday night.
With 16 needed of the final over bowled by Luke Wright, Miller hit a six off the third and fifth balls to clinch a humdinger. Miller remained unbeaten on 80 off 41. Mandeep Singh was 77 not out of 58 balls. Miller and Mandeep were excellent as they had an unbroken partnership of 128 in 79 balls.
Earlier, Aaron Finch's half century and Wright's sensational 10-ball 34 powered Pune Warriors to 185/4 in 20 overs. Pune decided to drop regular captain Angelo Mathews and handed over the responsibility to Finch. The Australian excelled in his new role as hit 64 and was involved with a 83-run partnership for the first wicket with Robin Uthapp (37). This solid platform was utilised by Yuvraj Singh (34) and Wirght (34).
