Bangalore, May 22: It could well be a triple treat for Chennai Super Kings at the Eden Gardens on May 26, Sunday.
If CSK maintain their current form, MS Dhoni and his boys could well be holding the IPL trophy in Kolkata on a Super Sunday. CSK have a great chance of winning the trophy for the third time in 6 years.
If CSK are able to do that, it will not only be a first for any team (winning thrice) but also two more records could be in their grasp.
The maximum runs scored in a single IPL is 733 by Royal Challengers Bangalore's Chris Gayle. The big Jamaican managed that in 2012. Hussey is 2 runs away from surpassing that.
Bravo has now equalled Lasith Malinga's 28-wicket record in one IPL. The Mumbai Indians bowler had managed that in 2011.
If all three possibilities work out on May 26, it would be truly a CSK night in Kolkata. Also if Hussey manages to win the Orange Cap and the trophy, he will be the first player to do the double. No Orange Cap winner has managed to win the trophy in the same IPL.
Also CSK could become the first team to be the champions boasting of both Orange and Purple Cap winners.
Will it be CSK's night on Sunday?
