Mumbai, May 29: Sachin Tendulkar will achieve another landmark where no other Test cricketer has managed in the history of the game. The Master Blaster is just 2 matches away from completing 200 Tests, which he says would be a "special feeling" when he gets there.
Currently on 198 Tests, Tendulkar will reach the milestone of double hundred during India's tour to South Africa later this year. The 40-year-old is now active only in Test cricket after having giving ODIs last year and IPL Twenty20 few days back.
Stating that 200 is a "big number" Tendulkar shared his thoughts on how it would be to achieve that.
"The South African tour still has some time to go (in December), but it would be interesting to play the 200th Test. It's a big number and it will be a special feeling when I reach there," Tendulkar told "Mail Today" on Tuesday (May 28).
The man with the maximum ODI and Test runs in history, however, feels it is winning for the team that matters than individual feats.
"Whenever we go (as Team India), we go to win. We always focus on doing well and play to win. That's the way I look at it. If anything (record) comes along, it's a coincidence, which is fine," he added.
Tendulkar has scored 15,837 Test and 18,426 ODI runs.
