London, June 11: Australia captain Michael Clarke has been ruled out of team's second game too, against New Zealand in the Champions Trophy.
Clarke, who missed the side's opening game against England on Saturday due back problem, is still not fit to lead the team for tomorrow's (June 12) match.
Australia lost to England and need to win against the Kiwis to stay alive in the competition.
Cricket Australia Physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said on Tuesday: "Michael (Clarke) is continuing to have intensive treatment in London, and whilst he is making good progress, he has not improved sufficiently enough to play the game against New Zealand on Wednesday. We will continue to monitor his progress and determine his availability for next week's final group game against Sri Lanka."
Australia are the current holders of Champions Trophy having won in two successive editions - 2006 and 2009.
