London, June 18: Sri Lanka held their nerve to edge Australia by 20 runs and moved into the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy 2013 here at The Oval on Monday (June 17).
Mahela Jayawardene and Lahiru Thirimanne's half centuries took Sri Lanka to 253/8 in 50 overs. In reply, Australia were bowled out for 233.
Australia and New Zealand exited from Group A while Sri Lanka and England qualified for the last four. Sri Lanka will face India on June 20. On June 19, hosts England meet South Africa.
