Aussie cricketers to play on the Thames

London, June 19: Members of the Australian Ashes squad including captain Michael Clarke will participate in a unique training session on the River Thames on Thursday (June 20), Cricket Australia (CA) announced on Wednesday.

This move is to help remind Australian fans to join the Australian Cricket Family for their chance to obtain priority access to tickets for the Commonwealth Bank Ashes Series, Carlton Mid One Day Series and KFC T20 Internationals in Australia this Summer.

The ACF Thames Cricket Pitch will be positioned on a barge in front of the iconic Tower Bridge, creating a great backdrop for training before the Australian team begin their quest to return the urn, CA said.

Clarke, Shane Watson, Chris Rogers, James Faulkner and Mitchell Starc will come together on the floating pitch for a brief training session under the shadows of Tower Bridge.
