Birmingham, June 24: "Sir" Ravindra Jadeja weaved his magic at the Champions Trophy 2013. The left-arm spinner won the "Golden Ball" award for most number of wickets in the tournament.
Jadjea, with 12 scalps, including a five-wicket haul, finished on top of the bowlers' list. It was a superb performance by him considering he was not India's number one spinner for the event. R Ashwin was the lead slow bowler but "Sir" outshone him.
"I did well throughout the tournament and I was very positive. It was quite difficult to rotate the strike, so I and Virat (Kohli) just tried to build a good partnership. I was enjoying bowling on this wicket. My skipper always backs me when I bowl," Jadeja said at the post-final presentation ceremony.
In the final on Sunday (June 23), Jadeja took 2 wickets. India edged England by 5 runs to win the trophy.
Jadeja won the Man-of-the-match award in the final for his all-round show. He scored 33 and took two wickets.
