Birmingham, June 24: In a thrilling last-over finish, India beat England by 5 runs to capture the Champions Trophy here at Edgbaston on Sunday (June 23). The match was reduced to 20 over each due to rain.

India had posted 129/7 in 20 overs and that was not a threatening score for the hosts. England looked in control when Ravi Bopara and Eoin Morgan were batting but Ishant Sharma turned the game by removing both batsmen in successive deliveries.

With 15 needed in the final over, R Ashwin bowled superbly and India were home.
