New Delhi, June 30: Under-fire BCCI president N Srinivasan put an end to speculation by making his presence felt at the International Cricket Council annual conference in London on Saturday. He attended one of the sub-committee meetings via a video-link.
"Yes, Srinivasan attended the Finance and Commercial Affairs meeting of the ICC via video-conference. He took an active part in that meeting as it is one of the most important sub-committees of the ICC. Srinivasan attended the meeting by virtue of being an ICC member," a senior BCCI official told PTI on the condition of anonymity.
Srinivasan's attendance at the ICC meet also made it clear that he is in no mood to relent and is waiting for the two-man committee probe to clear him of wrongdoing in the Indian Premier League betting scandal.
While the BCCI had made it clear that interim in-charge Jagmohan Dalmiya is supposed to attend the Annual Conference and secretary Sanjay Patel would attend the CEO's meeting, there was no clarity Srinivasan's attendance.
Srinivasan is a member of three ICC sub-committees. Apart from the Finance and Commercial Affairs committee, he is also part of the Nominating committee and the committee of Human Rights and Remunerations.
