Port of Spain, July 8: Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina had clashed over dropped catches during India's tri-series match against the West Indies on Friday (July 5). It has now emerged that Jadeja said some harsh words with regard to Raina and that resulted in a heated argument.
According to a report in "The Indian Express", Jadeja taunted Raina over losing India captaincy to Virat Kohli.
"Because you've lost the captaincy, you've also lost interest in fielding?' That's what started the fight," the newspaper quoted an "insider" saying.
Previously, Raina has led India at the international level in MS Dhoni's absence. But now, Virat Kohli is the number one choice for leadership and he is now the skipper in the ongoing Celkon Mobile Cup and also for Zimbabwe tour.
Jadeja's words did not go done well with Raina and they were seen having a heated argument. What triggered all this was dropped catches by Raina off Jadeja's bowling.
Both Jadeja and Raina play for the same Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings.
