Happy to get Arjuna Award, says Kohli
Bangalore, Aug 14: India batsman Virat Kohli, who was on Tuesday (August 13) recommended for the Arjuna Award, described the honour as one of the happiest moments.

Kohli has been a prolific run scorer for India in all formats. He has grown as an international batsman in the last couple of years and his great run of form resulted in getting the captaincy for Zimbabwe ODI series.

The 24-year-old led India to a historic 5-0 clean sweep over Zimbabwe. MS Dhoni was rested for the series due to an injury.

"Really happy to get the arjuna award. Happiest moment yet. Thank you everyone for the wishes. :)," Kohli wrote on his Twitter page.

The right-hander received congratulatory messages from his fans and friends on Tuesday.

Offspinner Harbhajan Singh too wished Kohli and hoped the youngster gets more awards.

"@imVkohli you deserve it Cheeku. May u get many more awards. Rab rakha," Harbhajan wrote on his Twitter page.

Kohli has so far scored 1175 runs in 18 Tests at an average of 41.96, including four hundreds and six fifties. In ODIs, he has 4575 runs in 113 matches at an average of 49.72 with 15 hundreds and 24 half-centuries.
