Bangalore, Aug 18: Cricket stars lit up the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday night (August 17). The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) had assembled former and present players to celebrate the association's platinum jubilee.
Sachin Tendulkar was the major attraction as he continues to hold sway on and off the field since making international debut in 1989.
The Master Blaster was joined by Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble (KSCA president), Javagal Srinath (KSCA secretary), Mohammad Azharuddin, Kris Srikkanth, Bishan Singh Bedi, EAS Prasanna, BS Chandrasekhar, Syed Kirmani, GR Viswanath, Sunil Joshi, Venkatesh Prasad, Roger Binny and other present cricketers from Karnataka at an evening to remember.
Former New Zealand fast bowler Sir Richard Hadlee was the lone foreign representative, being KSCA's special guest for the occasion.
Kapil Dev could not make it as his former coach Desh Prem Azad had passed away two days back. MS Dhoni, Sunil Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag were also missing.
KSCA honoured former India captains, Karnataka's finest players, administrators, umpires, ground staff, scorers and statisticians.
Here are the pictures from the awards night.
