The fifth and final Ashes Test ended in a draw on Sunday and England players celebrated their success on the ground till about midnight. However, there was nothing wrong in enjoying the moment but urinating on the pitch is never heard of in the history. Is this the way to celebrate?
Recently, another England cricketer, Monty Panesar was fined by police for urinating on bouncers at a nightclub. The left-arm spinner seems to have inspired his team-mates!
According to a report in Australia's "The Age" newspaper, "England have celebrated their third successive Ashes series win by urinating on The Oval pitch in a distasteful postscript to a thrilling finale."
"Four hours after England cemented their 3-0 series triumph, players moved their post-match party from the dressing rooms to the centre of the field just behind the wicket.
Around 11.30pm, several players including Stuart Broad and Kevin Pietersen took it in turns to get up from where they were sitting and wander over to relieve themselves on the pitch," the report added.
Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra slammed the English players' behaviour as "disrespectful" and "most bizarre."
"This is disrespectful & most bizarre...English players urinated on the Oval pitch after winning the Ashes!," Chopra tweeted.
