'Players might have urinated on pitch'

London, Aug 27: England offspinner Graeme Swann has admitted that his team-mates might have urinated on The Oval pitch after securing the Ashes series 3-0 on Sunday (August 25).

The fifth and final Test ended in a draw at The Oval that gave the home team the series with a score of 3-0. It was reported that England players partied on the ground till late night and also urinated on the pitch.

Kevin Pietersen, James Anderson and Stuart Broad among others, were reported to have relieved themselves on the wicket.

"We did go out to the middle of the pitch, all the lads, drinking beers, singing a few songs and enjoying each other's company," Swann told the Sun newspaper on Tuesday.

"I think the call of nature might have come once or twice, but it was nothing untoward. It was midnight, a private celebration in the middle of the pitch and the ground was dark," he added.
