Bangalore, Sep 3: Chennai Super Kings' MS Dhoni is all set to extend his captaincy record for most matches in the Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) when he leads the team on his home ground in Ranchi on September 22.
This year's CLT20 will be held in India from September 17 to October 6. The qualifying stage will be from September 17 to 20.
Chennai Super Kings, who won the CLT20 in 2010 under Dhoni's leadership, are in Group B with Titans, Brisbane Heat, Trinidada Tobago and a Qualifier. CSK's first match is on September 22 against Titans at JSCA International Cricket Stadium.
Dhoni holds the record for most matches as captain in this tournament. So far, he has led CSK in 13 games. CSK have played in three editions from 2010 to 2012. They missed out on 2009 berth.
