Mumbai, Sep 10: Zaheer Khan is leaving no stone unturned in his bid to make a comeback to the Indian team. The latest of left-arm paceman's effort is to link up with former India coach Gary Kirsten in Cape Town.
Zaheer will head to South Africa to train under Kirsten, according to report in "The Times of India". He will be working with Kirsten, who was recently appointed Delhi Daredevils coach, for three weeks.
"Zaheer will be travelling to Cape Town to work with Gary Kirsten for three weeks. He was to leave on September 6, but he still has to get his visa. Once that happens he will be off. There he will primarily work on his fielding and bowling," Sudhir Naik, Zaheer's mentor and chief selector of the Mumbai Ranji Trophy side, was quoted in the report.
Zaheer recently returned from France after a rigorous six-month training. He and Yuvraj Singh trained together under Tim Exeter.
