Sreesanth found guilty of fixing in IPL

Mumbai, Sep 13: S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan are facing life bans after they were found guilty of spot-fixing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by BCCI's probe by Ravi Sawani.

According to a report in "The Indian Express", Sawani is convinced that Sreesanth was part of spot-fixing and so were the other Rajasthan Royals cricketers. Former Royals' bowler Amit Singh is also found guilty of fixing charges.

"I am fully convinced that Sreesanth was part of the fix and, therefore, I confirm my earlier findings of holding S Sreesanth guilty of the offences listed in my initial report," Sawani has said in his report.

Sawani was appointed by the Indian cricket board to investigate the spot-fixing allegations against the three Royals' players. Sreesanth, Chandila and Chavan were arrested by Delhi police in Mumbai during this year's IPL in May.

Sawani has recommended punishments ranging from five years to life bans for the guilty.

BCCI's disciplinary committee is meeting today to discuss about Sawani's report.
