Irfan Pathan, Praveen Kumar ruled out

Bangalore, Sep 14: India A's Irfan Pathan and Praveen Kumar have been ruled out of the three-match one day series against West Indies A due to injuries, the BCCI said on Saturday.

The series will begin here at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium tomorrow. Siddharth Kaul and R Vinay Kumar have been named as replacements.

BCCI also said Kerala batsman VA Jagadeesh has been added to the India A squad for second and third four-day matches against West Indies A.

"PK (Praveen Kumar) and Irfan (Pathan) ruled out of the India A team for the one-day games vs WI ‘A,' due to injuries. Replacements are Siddharth Kaul and Vinay Kumar," was the tweet from BCCI's official twitter handle (@bcci) on Saturday. However, it was not mentioned as to what were the injuries to the duo.

Another tweet said, "V Jagadeesh has been added to the India ‘A' squad for the second and third four-day games against West Indies ‘A'".

Irfan is also captain of India Red team for Challenger Trophy. The tournament starts from September 26. Will he recover in time to lead the side?
