Mohali, Sep 17: Shikhar Dhawan, in his first match as Sunrisers Hyderabad captain, struck a magnificent half century to lead his side to an 8-wicket victory over Kandurata Maroons in a Champions League 2013 qualifier at the PCA Stadium here on Tuesday.


Left-handed opener Shikhar hit a 53-ball 71 as Sunrisers (SRH) successfully chased down a target of 169 in their opening qualifying match.
