Shaun Marsh ruled out of CLT20

London, Sep 17: Perth Scorchers' batsman Shaun Marsh has been ruled out of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament due to an injury, Cricket Australia said on Tuesday.

CA said that Marsh will return to Australia tomorrow (Wednesday) after sustaining a right hamstring strain in the ODI series against England.

Commenting on the injury, Cricket Australia Team Doctor Peter Brukner said: "Shaun sustained a right hamstring muscle strain in the fourth ODI in Cardiff and today had an MRI scan which confirmed the diagnosis. Shaun will now return home to Perth tomorrow for further treatment."

Marsh was scheduled to fly to India for the CLT20, however following the injury he was withdrawn from the tournament by the Perth Scorchers, CA added.

CLT20 starts today in Mohali with the qualifiers.
