In the opening match for CSK against Titans in the Champions League Twenty20 on Sunday night (September 22), Dhoni sported a mohawk.
His fans were thrilled to see the new look of their skipper. Dhoni, who arrived on the international cricket scene with long hair, had cut it short after winning the 2007 World Twenty20 Championship. And further, he went bald after leading India to 2011 World Cup in Mumbai.
Now, for the new season, Dhoni has come up this new hairstyle.
Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, during India's tour of Pakistan in 2006, had admired Dhoni's hairstyle and asked him not to cut the hair.
"A lot of placards in the crowd have suggested that you should get a haircut, but if you take my advice, you look good in this hairstyle," Musharraf had said.
A new hairstyle, a new game and a fresh start - everything went on well for Dhoni and his team as they beat Titans by 4 wickets.
