Jaipur, Sep 25: Otago Volts opener Neil Broom scored the fastest century in Champions League history on Wednesday. He is the fifth batsman to register a ton in this Twenty20 tournament. Riding on his ton, Volts won by 62 runs.
The right-handed opening batsman from New Zealand blasted 117 not out off just 56 balls with 9 boundaries and 8 sixes against Perth Scorchers at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Broom's 100 came in 51 balls to break David Warner's record of 58-ball ton.
